Wedding Wednesday | Vibe and Style vs. Palette

Happy Wednesday Friends!

We are smack in wedding season!! For YEARS, the first wedding question vendors have asked is “what are your colors” as a starting point to get an idea of your style.

We’re seeing an emerging pattern in brides going for a vibe instead of a specific color palette. They want a wedding that encapsulates “all the feels”, and reflects their style as a couple instead of everything being in one or two colors.

Don’t get me wrong, color can play a big part of this. I LOVE color. I NEED color. And color definitely is a key ingredient in creating the vibe and style you want for your big day. We see mood boards all over Pinterest reflecting panels of colors and different themes, but identifying your wedding vibe is a big way to make decisions more quickly (which can save you $$) as well as being able to convey to your vendors exactly what you want!

Amanda and William’s invitation suite came together very easily because she had accurately conveyed their wedding style to me and knew exactly what suited her style. We also did a RSVP postcard and matching programs as well. Her invites were printed on beautiful felt textured ivory paper.

I’m swooning over this “Eclectic Fairytale” mood board from Event 29. May have to work on a design suite to match!

This article, 10 Words To Define Your Wedding Style, might also help you to convey the vibe you’re going for to your vendors.
